Special attention should be paid to bathroom and WCs. Usually they make the strongest impression on the guests and determine their opinion about the cleanliness of the place. Making the white faience/plastic of the toilet and bath tub/shower cabin shiny, using solid deodorants/aerosol air fresheners with a pleasant non-insisting aroma (e.g., pine), replenishing the supplies of toilet paper (and soap) shall become a routine in your accommodation.
The bathroom and toilet shall be cleaned every day, and, in case your accommodation has shared facilities, cleaning must be done at least twice a day. Sometimes, if the bathroom has tiled walls/floor and a slope towards a drain pipe in the middle, it is convenient to use a hose supplying hot water under a great pressure, since it makes the procedure quick and efficient.
Disinfection of the bath tub and toilets is to be performed regularly. It is recommended that the installations should be of the traditional white colour that can easily give away dirty spots and, therefore creates an impression of true cleanliness. To strengthen the impression of cleanliness and safety, it can also make sense to place before the arrival of a new guest a small table above the toilet / bath saying that the facilities have been disinfected.
