Cleaning and Maintenance of More Special Guest Space

If you have an accommodation providing more primitive conditions (e.g., huts high up in the mountains without running hot water), cleaning should be paid special attention and more effort is to be taken to ensure appropriate healthiness.

In adventurous and exotic accommodation units cleaning and maintenance activities differ a lot from the ones in a standard guest room, since they are adjusted to the specifics of the guest space. So, for example, in the dwellings made of snow such operations as scrubbing the ice from the walls, providing a heat reflector for the fire are essential to prevent snow melting and keep insulation, etc. The entrance to a snow hut should be open for the most part of the day and closed only when the guests arrive in order to keep the humidity down. Also, for the same reason the request to remove snow from the clothes and shoes before entering should be placed outside. In guest rooms where sleeping bags are rented to the clients, take care to turn them inside out and dry after every use, and provide special linen slips that are inserted inside the sleeping bags and can be washed in the same way as usual bed linen.
