You have seen three styles of management, but there are also styles of dealing with problems. Problems are in general not to be communicated to the outside world, so you should know how to deal with them effectively and efficiently before a major situation develops. Four basic styles of problem management are as follows:
Thinkers start with creating theoretically methods for solving problems. This type of manager is less interested in people but is proficient in reasoning and finding good and logical solutions.
Makers are not afraid to take risks and try to experiment with new methods. This type of manager can adapt easily to unexpected problems and can take care of problems in an intuitive way. Makers tend to be somewhat impatient.
Decision makers prefers practical methods. By deductive reasoning, this type of manager finds the solution and is more interested in things than in people.
Dreamers excel in imaginative powers. This type of manager is emotional, spontaneous and imaginative and has broad interests.
These styles determine how a person deals with problems. (If you have inspiration: feel free to add more characteristics to each problem management style.) It can be a help if you know by what style you solve problems. To obtain a balanced solution, you should know what kind of solution you tend to produce, and which are the most likely mistakes you may make in problem solving.
