3.4.1. General Requirements and Principles

Aesthetics

The most typical track-bounded clientele are not very ambitious in respect to their aesthetic demands to the room, as they come to sport destinations to spend relatively little time inside. Usually, they are satisfied with a simple design, and prefer comfort to luxury. But you should pay attention to the colour background of the room, light, and use of space. Light colours such as light green, blue, yellow or white have a visually extending effect and can make a room on a dark side friendlier. In a room with an old-style furniture light shades of brown would be more appropriate. The room also looks cosier and more relaxing if there are several lights of lower voltage instead of one source of direct light.

In addition to this, your guests will appreciate some small details that create a special atmosphere in the room. These can be paintings, candles, plants, etc. The presence of some local elements in the interior can be especially valued (e.g., a table cloth or curtains with the traditional pattern, locally-produced piece of furniture, etc.). Arranging the room, keep in mind that the interior should fit the concept of your business and appeal to your target group.
