Promotion activities in relation to your accommodation could be making a special price proposition for certain clients. This can be a trial free-of-charge stay at your accommodation for the travel agents you would like to cooperate with - a tour of your facilities followed by an overnight stay and breakfast will give a clear idea of your business and accommodation quality. If you aim directly at your clients, you can think of special promotional discounts for certain groups that are important for your business (e.g., clients staying 5 nights or more, families with children, etc.).
PR is easy if you have interest and connections. You can invite a journalist to describe the experience of a stay at your accommodation. In this case, an article published in a local newspaper or magazine in the beginning of the season will be useful if you target the local tourists. Later on your clients will transmit their impressions of your accommodation to their acquaintances, and their opinion will serve the best recommendation.
