Different Rates

Tariffs usually range depending on the season (high season, low season, shoulder season). Besides, most accommodation providers offer different rates during the weekends and weekdays. In the same way, the distinction in price can be made for a short-stay weekend package and a long stay.

The normal price for“walk-in” guests is the full tariff rate, or rack rate. However, the accommodation can offer a number of tariff rates for different client categories. For example, lower rates for children apply if the owner aims at family travellers. Groups coming forcelebrations(e.g., a wedding/birthday/etc) can receive a special occasion discount and a present from the owner, or be charged according to group tariff (e.g., more than 6 persons). Travellers coming for a long period of stay (e.g., 10 days) can get a reduction. If you cooperate with a travel agency, you always provide a discount - commission for providing you with clients (this can vary from 5% up to 20%, average being 10%). Frequent user bonusfor regular guestsstimulates your clients coming back.

You should neverdiscuss individual prices every time you welcome a guest, as this makes a bad impression. Be sure that pricing is consistent. Guests become annoyed if they think others receive the same service for less money. Only make price adjustments or give discounts if there is a very good reason for it.
