Some simple maintenance measuressuch ashaving your house painted, in good repair, with clean surroundings can be crucial for the atmosphere around your accommodation and the impression it makes on the guests. Organizing proper maintenance works, however, does not limit only to this purpose. Maintenancehas to be done also for compliance with legal obligations (such as fire safety, hygienic requirements, etc) and for prevention of deterioration of your property.
The surroundings need regular maintenance, with cleaning up the area and access roads, paths, porches from leaves in autumn or ice and snow in winter. The path to the building should be clean and free, reducing risks of falls and injuries. This will also prove useful when carrying the luggage. Litter should be disposed of daily.
If the appeal of the stay in your accommodation is directly related to the tourist activities in nature, your maintenance work may also include marking and clearing of your part of the trail in cooperation with neighbours.
Keeping the building in a good state is a basic requirement. The easiest way to prevent frequent repair works is to use good quality durable materials from the very beginning. As for maintenance, the outside of the main building and auxiliary structures have to be painted every five years. Minor repairs should go on continuously, and for this you will need to schedule regular inspections.
